Local scanning and records

BiteVirus reads the files, folders, and drives you select for scanning or recovery. Scan results, file paths, quarantine records, reports, settings, and recovery candidates can be stored on your PC. Treat reports and restored files as potentially sensitive.

Network features

Update behavior depends on the update server configured in the app. A network request can disclose your public IP address and request information to that server. The reviewed build includes settings for updates and privacy; check those settings before enabling optional features.

Your choices

Choose the files and drives to inspect. Review quarantine items before restoring or deleting them, and choose a separate destination for recovered files. You can remove local reports and app data, but keep backups first. Copies you export or share are controlled by their recipients.
